Proposed Walkway for Ballina
Funding of €360,000 has been granted to Ballina for access promenade from Washerwoman’s Bridge to Main Bridge and 6 viewing areas over the Shannon. This promenade will enhance accessibility to Riverside park and will connect Riverside Park to Ballina town. This Promenade and viewing platforms which will highlight the history of Ballina/ River Shannon/ Lough Derg will further enhance the Tourism Product of Ballina.
